Sh. Vikas Gupta, IAS, Commissioner
Dear Students, Teachers and Parents,
Warm wishes to all of you on the Foundation Day-2025 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
The extraordinary journey of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, which began in 1963 with just 20 regimental schools, has transformed into a vast network of 1,289 Kendriya Vidyalayas, illuminating the nation with the light of exceptional education.
Shri. Y. Arun Kumar
Deputy Commissioner
Dear Students, Staff, Principals and Principals-in-Charge of all KVs of Guwahati region, As this new morning announces the start of a new academic session 2026-27, I would like to congratulate all of you for all the work and achievements you have done during the last academic session 2025-26. The last few years have been very challenging for all of us, especially for the teachers and educationists educating and guiding the young learners. But all of you with your concerted efforts and dedication have been able to shape the young minds of students in a very positive way, often virtually holding their hands to achieve the desired goals. All of you certainly need to be congratulated. The students adapted very quickly to the changing times brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, while the teachers and principals worked day and night to bring meaningful change in the lives of students by adopting technology as quickly as possible. We pushed our self-imposed limits and seamlessly embraced virtual meetings, virtual classroom inspections, virtual co-curricular activities and much more. When we look back nostalgically, we should all feel proud of what we have achieved during the most challenging times of this era. But we should not be complacent on our achievements. As Jonas Salk says, “The reward for good work is the opportunity to do more”, we should not forget that the upcoming academic session 2026-27 will again present different challenges as we will go back to our pre-pandemic days and go to our classrooms for teaching-learning. Students should be gradually allowed to re-adjust to these changing times through love, compassion and care. Let us understand that this academic session will perhaps be more challenging for all of us. I am sure that, with your dedication and passion, you all can contribute in more positive ways and help young learners adapt seamlessly to the changing times. With the belief and conviction that together we can and will contribute positively to the noble task of nation building. Sh. Y. Arun Kumar Deputy Commissioner KVS Guwahati Region

Education has its own value and it is its own reward .Centuries have passed and eras have rolled by in the pursuit of its correct implication but the pursuit is continuously going on,as its implication is dynamic and it is intertwined around everchnaging ,time, space and people. Education is the only tool to achieve what one desires. It equips with enormous potentialities to face the challenges of life; it elaborates to feel the real taste of life; it enables to realize godliness among human beings; it inspires to feel the presence of an unknown power in nature; it invokes to have that nobody wants to have; it motivates to share that nobody wants to share. It enables one to get respect wherever one goes. It has been well-illustrated in one of the Sanskrit verses: Vidwatam cha Nripatwam cha, Naiwam tulya kadachan. Swadeshe pujyate raja, vidwan sarvatra poojayete.
